About The Show

The world all around us is made up of wonderful shapes. But sometimes you can get tired of seeing the same things all the time. This is a story of two quirky puppets, Cubert the cube and Triantán the triangle, and the adventures they have when all of the shapes get mixed up.

The Shape of Things combines puppetry, object theatre and music, exploring how the world around us is created from different shapes, textures and materials in a beautiful non-verbal story featuring two quirky puppets, which unfolds in a specially designed space for adults and babies to relax in together.

This beautiful, playful and tactile experience has been designed especially for very young children and their parents to enjoy together, calling on experience from all of the partners working on the show.

For those in Galway City, you can find Branar at Ballybane Library on Saturday 23rd June 2018 where we will be facilitating puppet making workshops. There will also be lots of other events happening in the library.

Our workshop facilitator will lead this fun and energetic 45 minute puppet making workshop where participants will have the opportunity to explore the world of puppetry by designing and creating their very own puppets.

The children will create a puppet out of paper, learn foundational puppetry skillscreate a group story with their paper puppet and present a story to the rest of the group.

This workshop will give children aged 6+ the chance to transform paper into puppets and enjoy bringing their puppets to life.
