SELECTED FOR IPAY 2020 SHOWCASE
Branar are delighted to have been selected for SHOWCASE - IPAY’s annual US and international conference. The conference will take place in January 2020 and will feature Branar’s How to Catch a Star. Branar are one of 2 Irish companies who have been selected to present our work at this international conference, which promotes global dialogues within the youth arts sector at large. 2020’s Showcase will have a spotlight on Ireland.
How to Catch a Star premiered in the Galway International Arts Festival in 2017 and has since been performed to over 14000 audience members at Young at Art Belfast, The Southbank Centre London, The Egg Children’s Theatre Bath, on our Irish national tour in 2018 including Baboró International Arts Festival for Children and during our month-long run in The Ark, Children’s Cultural Centre Dublin in December 2018. We are delighted to now have the opportunity to present this magical show to presenters and audience members alike in the US.
To create professional and education opportunities for key stakeholders in North America (artists, agents, and presenters) to engage around support of meaningful performing arts experiences for young audiences.
Showcase is IPAY's annual conference, serving our international membership and promoting global dialogues within the youth arts sector at large. Featuring a rigorously selected roster of full length and excerpt performances for young audiences, Showcase highlights excellent professional performances from North America and around the world.
Showcase is for presenters to see juried Showcase performances by outstanding international performing artists. A wide variety of performances are selected to highlight the many possibilities for young audiences.
Showcase is for artists to perform, exhibit, and develop their work for an audience of presenters who book shows specifically for young people and their families.
Showcase is for agents and managers who represent companies and artists that perform work for young people. Each day, Showcase features a dedicated resource room time that serves as a marketplace to discuss and book the work.
Showcase is for students to network with the premier professionals in the performing arts for youth field and to learn about important issues and initiatives in our professional development learning communities.
